Nikolaus Tank Lines Upgrades to Cadec's Fleet Management System To Improve Customer Service and Safety

Fuel hauler switches to Cadec to implement e-logs, and integrate fleet management with dispatch software

MANCHESTER, NH – Mar. 11, 2009 – Cadec Global, a leading provider of advanced fleet management solutions, announced today that Nikolaus Tank Lines, Inc. has purchased and is implementing Cadec’s Mobius TTS® software and Series 100 On-Board Computers (OBCs) to extend its supply chain management efforts into the cabs of all 24 trucks in its fleet.

Nikolaus Tank Lines upgraded from another vendor to Cadec primarily for its e-logging capabilities, and for the tight integration it offers with petroleum supply-chain software vendor TelaPoint. Together, Cadec and TelaPoint will enable Nikolaus Tank Lines to:

• Move to 100 percent e-logs, saving each driver at least 15 minutes of paperwork per day;
• Go to a completely paperless dispatch model, where dispatch information from TelaPoint is conveyed electronically to drivers via their Cadec OBCs; and
• Capture fuel price, delivery and bill-of-lading details electronically at customers’ sites, and convey them back to the yard via cellular network so that invoices can be generated more quickly.
