Willow Run Switches to Cadec's Fleet Management System for Superior E-logging, Data Collection Capabilities

Cadec's Mobius TTS now installed as backbone of transportation management initiative

MANCHESTER, NH – Jul. 22, 2009 – Cadec Global, a leading provider of advanced fleet management solutions, announced today that Willow Run Foods has switched to Cadec’s Mobius TTS® for its fleet management needs. Willow Run made the change primarily due to Cadec’s superior e-logging capabilities, its ability to collect more detailed data on vehicles and driver behavior, and its ability to convey data wirelessly from truck cabs back to the yard in real time.

Willow Run Foods is the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic's premier fast-food systems distributor. Serving customers in 14 states, the company provides one-stop-shopping for chain restaurant operators while focusing on building customer relationships and providing service that is second to none. Willow Run customers include Wendy's, Boston Market, Arby's, Quiznos, Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits and Sonic.

According to Willow Run Director of IT Michael Albertson, the company has been tracking Cadec products for the past two years as it contemplated making a change. “We really liked what we saw,” said Albertson. “Cadec is constantly updating its technology and introducing add-on packages. The interface for drivers is very intuitive and easy to learn. And their reputation for customer service and support is outstanding. While the product capabilities were most important, we also liked the intangibles.”

According to Albertson, the implementation across the company’s full fleet of nearly 100 vehicles took only two weeks and went off without a hitch. “The Cadec team was fantastic,” said Albertson. “At Willow Run, we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. When a vendor adheres to that same principle, we know it will be a great long-term relationship.”

Willow Run is now using Mobius TTS to track vehicle location, driver behavior such as speeding and excessive idling, and delivery details. The company has integrated Mobius TTS with its routing and driver payroll applications so that they can automatically exchange data to further automate supply chain management.

Michael Baney, CEO of Cadec, noted that in the foodservice industry, on-time delivery is everything. “Mobius TTS helps strengthen Willow Run’s already impressive transportation management infrastructure with real-time data exchange capabilities,” said Baney. “This will enable them to provide better service to customers; improve the accuracy of inventory, logs and payroll records; and accelerate invoicing. We’re very pleased to be working with Willow Run.”
